They say,
actions speak louder than words.
So I ask you,
if you could change one thing from your past,
what would it be?
I would want to have said,
"no, I don't love you",
twice.
No, before that, said,
"sorry friend I'm busy, can't come out".
Except,
you can't change the past,
so no action is taken.
So then,
where do we stand?
On our words,
and the repercussions of once saying them.

The difference?
Both are never there..
Crying with tears of acidity,
Burns through everything,
Because tears see everything,
And so burst out for anyone to find..
Talking with passion,
With truth,
With heart,
They’re real..
Being selfish and wanting,
What you’ve lost,
What you can never have again,
That feeling of belonging..
Praying,
Wishing,
Hoping,
False pretence..
Searching for the right path,
So easy to get off this high way,
So easy to that take slip road,
So, why am I not doing that..

Suspicion was abundantly rife.

And as elegant as a harp,
I sat with you atop the cliffs that scarp,
Watching below, the fast paced carp.
